Under Observation for Minor Injuries
Joshua had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his management team had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
Remembering the Victims
Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and deeply emotional over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
The news of his discharge arrives after the boxing community shared condolences for the star in the following the terrible crash.
