Barcelona to Host Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
