It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a side that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the championship match and was named player of the tournament. She ensured her country would not come up short.

If this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was considerably tougher to see coming.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she was the highest scorer, but this knock followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in the nets, it was a disappointing period because I feel like my form was missing completely," commented Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts kick in and you simply focus on the contest."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her great strength - and a priceless quality in taking over from iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

One run resulted off the bowler's initial ball and from that point the right-hander was in motion.

"The possibility to go out there and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was dismissed Australia needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we believe we can succeed."

Those words will be the final thing competing nations at this tournament should hear.

During the last week a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this success coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she later said she wished she had played through the pain.
