Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield
A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet touched down based on standard protocol and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This incident is not the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to head back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
